Roles/Duties:
- Lead civil litigation cases through all phases, including investigation, discovery, pre-trial, trial, and settlement.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop strategic approaches for each case.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Maintain clear communication with clients by providing case updates, advising on legal options, and ensuring transparency.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure thorough case preparation.
- Stay up to date on legal developments, regulations, and precedents relevant to civil litigation.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in civil litigation
- Proven ability to manage case files, draft legal documents, and litigate cases.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Experience with legal research and litigation support software is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
- Proven ability to manage cases through trial or settlement.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Preferred: Experience handling contract disputes or other forms of litigation.
- Preferred: Familiarity with legal technology and case management software.
- Preferred: Demonstrated commitment to client-focused service and ethical legal practice.
Compensation Range:
Based on experience.
Schedule:
The Civil Litigation Attorney will be expected to work full-time and may include occasional travel as needed for court proceedings and meetings.
